This sofa, built on a proven methodology of harnessing irregular coppice with a trestle-like support, is not just a piece of furniture. It's a symbol of my commitment to sustainability. In this project, I also delved into its construction and the potential of a flat pack, a concept that not only enhances the marketability of furniture but also makes it more accessible to people. This product challenges our notions of mass-produced furniture, offering a more sustainable solution that demonstrates how wood locally harvested from British woodlands can be sourced sustainably and even help regenerate our woodlands through the many benefits of coppicing.
